We are so excited to share that our first #MLBAHero is Novias Davila, the aunt of Alorica employee Tino Davila. Novias has dedicated her Chicago-based dress shop to make face masks for her community. Novias and her employees have committed themselves to producing masks for locals in her community, nearby health clinics and lunch program workers providing meals to students. So far they have made over 1,000 masks! Check out this article to find out more about what Novias and her dress shop are doing to stop the spread of #COVID19 in their neighborhood here.

This week our #MLBAHeroes are Alorica employee, Lisa Grandstaff, and the amazing volunteers at Lifepoint Church’s Culpepper, Richmond, Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg, King George, and Stafford campuses! Lisa and the Lifepoint Church volunteers in Virginia have mobilized their efforts to help their community during the #COVID19 pandemic. From delivering groceries to writing cards for the elderly, and even helping man an Emergency Operations Center to field #COVID19 calls, these volunteers are working around the clock to help their community fight the #coronavirus. Thank you for your hard work and tremendous efforts, Lisa and Lifepoint Church Virginia.

This week we are thrilled to announce that our #MLBAhero is Brendan Wang! Brendan, dedicates his free time during the #coronavirus pandemic to walk his elderly neighbor’s dog. As a co-founder and active volunteer of Irvine chapter’s MLBA NextGen program, Brendan shows that during this time of crisis little things make a difference, especially for the most vulnerable. Thank you healthcare heroes! This week, our #MLBAhero is the dedicated and selfless healthcare workers. From wearing layers of uncomfortable personal protective equipment for countless hours to having to eat dinner across the hall from your own family, we know you are working tirelessly and risking your lives for us. With so many around the world affected by the #coronavirus, we recognize that your work has become more urgent and difficult than ever and your bravery does not go unnoticed. We are thrilled to see so many amazing people helping their communities, especially our seniors! This week our #MLBAhero is Alorica Guatemala employee, Madelyn Paniagua, from Primma. Unfortunately, many elderly in her community are not able to provide food for their families. Madelyn collected donations to purchase 10 bags of groceries that were delivered to homes in Zona 1. Thank you Madelyn and volunteers for your generous contributions and compassion. If you’d like to help, they will be hosting another grocery delivery at the end of the month, and would love to have additional volunteers or donations! Please email madelyn.paniagua@alorica.com

You could save lives even if you’re not a healthcare provider! Just ask Tatiana Del Moral, this week’s #MLBAhero and one of our Alorica employees from Panama. Hospitals are in desperate need of blood donations, so Tatiana answered the call by donating blood to the Social Security Hospital C.S.S in Panama. This week’s #MLBAHero is so sweet that she lets her baking do the talking! 
New Jersey-based graduate student and Samuel D.J. Cali Foundation volunteer Melissa Levinson is our inspiring #MLBAHero this week! 
Melissa is an avid baker who has been baking up a storm since COVID-19 hit for first responders from the West Orange Police Station and healthcare workers at Morrison Medical Center. Thank you Melissa for your talent, thoughtfulness and tasty treats!
