MLBA Puebla Shares the Love with Blind Community Members

MLBA’s Puebla Chapter recently donated computers to the Leyer’s Institute, a local non-profit organization that helps visually impaired children and adults. The computers will be used to teach computing skills and will be equipped with special software to turn the computers and students’ cellphones into speaker devices.

During the pandemic, the staff at Leyer´s Institute had to close their facilities after they lost most of their resources and income. Now, they are located in a new temporary facility so that they can go back to providing physical lessons as a regular school. And as their primary source of financing consists of product sales, MLBA Puebla will start selling Leyer´s products at their site, along with MLBA products to further our support.

Each MLBA Chapter is dedicated to making lives better for local individuals and communities. And, the best part is, our employee-led Chapter Boards are empowered to decide how to distribute 100% of the funds they raise to the causes that matter most to them.
